Gururas teaches Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, a type of yoga that incorporates breath, postures, chant, and meditation to open our hearts & minds, build strength and create flexibility. This practice teaches the art of relaxation and self-healing. It’s different than other forms of yoga. Expect to move, jump, hold poses, and breathe deeply and repeatedly – no two classes are the same! It is great for beginners as it has the flexibility to push you just a little as well as offering the ability to go at your own pace.

Join our Meet Up group Kundalini Yoga Community of Tampa to find out when Gururas is teaching.

Great for beginners and seasoned yogis alike. I teach students how to be safe in their yoga practice and learn to challenge themselves within that safety, both physically and mentally.

What to wear.
Clothing made to move! We recommend you wear natural fibers. Teachers wear white to expand their awareness and neutrality. You wear what makes you feel good!

What to bring.
Bring a water bottle, a mat, and a towel. You may also want to bring a blanket or shawl for meditation. Blocks & cushions are encouraged for seated positions and as props.

What to expect.
All classes begin with an opening chant and finish with deep meditation. Expect to focus on learning new breathing techniques, to move, and let go. Kundalini has the power to unleash and unlock barriers within ourselves and is both joyful and serene.

Location.
Our classes are held in a natural environment on a screened-in porch at a local organic farm. Come do yoga to the sounds of birds.
See our Kundalini Yoga Meetup Group for more info!

POCA

Seminole Heights Community Acupuncture, our staff, and volunteers are members of the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture. POCA is a co-operative run and fueled by co-op members who believe that acupuncture should be available to people: learn more about that here.

We see acupuncture changing lives every day. It’s simple, safe and effective, as well as the most widely used medicine in the world! Last year POCA clinics, about 150 of them in all, gave more than 1 million treatments.

We support the Community Acupuncture movement with our POCA membership and our volunteer hours.

We know that acupuncture can change the world, and would love for you to join us in The Calmest Revolution Ever Staged!

Interested? Help spread access to acupuncture by learning more about POCA.  Click here to join online.  Or drop by Seminole Heights Community Acupuncture to talk with us more about our favorite co-operative, POCA!
