Observe May Day with Us!

Tampa, FL — Thursday, May 1st, Community Acupuncture clinics around the world begin their 11th Annual May Day Celebration by offering free acupuncture. Seminole Heights Community Acupuncture will join in the celebration providing free acupuncture 2-8PM at the clinic.

May Day is an annual holiday that celebrates late 19th c. Americans efforts to have an eight-hour workday. Because of its significance in the labor movement, May Day has become an occasion not only of international celebration, but also widespread protest. Protest high prices. Protest inaccessibility to health care and healthy life options. Protest by taking care of yourself!

Community Acupuncture clinics are social businesses dedicated to affordable healthcare. They provide acupuncture treatments on a sliding scale of $15-$40 for everybody, regardless of one’s insurance or income. With over 300 Community Acupuncture clinics in North America, thousands of individuals are expected to receive free services on May 1st.

Acupuncture is recognized by the World Health Organization and the National Institutes of Health for effectively treating nearly four dozen conditions, including: Side Effects from Chemotherapy, Allergies, Neck Pain, Back Pain, Sciatica, Headaches, Arthritis, Stress, Depression, Anxiety, Infertility, and more. In 2012, community acupuncture clinics throughout the country provided more than 750,000 acupuncture treatments — about 40% of all acupuncture done in the U.S.

Seminole Heights Community Acupuncture provides acupuncture and massage for a sliding scale fee in a comfortable, community setting. The clinic is open 6 days a week with evening and weekend hours. Located at 6420 N Central Ave. in Tampa. Street and overflowing parking lot available. Members of the acupuncture co-operative, the People’s Organization for Community Acupuncture pocacoop.com.

Seminole Heights Community Acupuncture, our staff, and volunteers are members of the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture. POCA is a co-operative run and fueled by co-op members who believe that acupuncture should be available to people: learn more about that here.

We see acupuncture changing lives every day. It’s simple, safe and effective, as well as the most widely used medicine in the world! Last year POCA clinics, about 150 of them in all, gave more than 1 million treatments.

We support the Community Acupuncture movement with our POCA membership and our volunteer hours.

We know that acupuncture can change the world, and would love for you to join us in The Calmest Revolution Ever Staged!
