Acupuncture Can Change Everything
About Us

About Us

Our Clinic Depends on People

Our staff, POCA volunteers, and patients are what create the community feel of Seminole Heights Community Acupuncture. Each of us contributes to the clinic vibe. Our essential mission is to help members of our community live healthy lives. We use Chinese medicine to build community, empower people to explore choices around their health, and provide opportunities to connect with the many resources in our great neighborhood.

It takes a cast of personalities to be the clinic we are: there’s the face of our front desk, the acupuncturists, the herbalist, the back office folks doing the laundry, weeding out front, and maintaining the stock… you get it!  There’s a variety of people both behind the scenes and who work with you who co-create our community.

A few things to note

  • Acupuncturists in Florida are licensed by the Florida Department of Health.
  • We also maintain national accredited exam based credentials.
  • Acupuncturists complete four-year graduate degree programs in Chinese medicine and study a number of acupuncture techniques, Chinese herbal medicine, sciences like chemistry & anatomy, nutrition, and conventional biomedicine.
  • We are trained to provide care to people in all stages of life, children to elders and everything between.

POCA

Our staff and practitioners are members of a cooperative called POCA: the People’s Organization for Community Acupuncture. POCA was established to support the growth and development of community acupuncture. Patients, clinic volunteers, and businesses are also members of POCA… you can be too!

POCA

POCA

Seminole Heights Community Acupuncture, our staff, and volunteers are members of the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture. POCA is a co-operative run and fueled by co-op members who believe that acupuncture should be available to people: learn more about that here.

We see acupuncture changing lives every day. It’s simple, safe and effective, as well as the most widely used medicine in the world! Last year POCA clinics, about 150 of them in all, gave more than 1 million treatments.

We support the Community Acupuncture movement with our POCA membership and our volunteer hours.

We know that acupuncture can change the world, and would love for you to join us in The Calmest Revolution Ever Staged!

Interested? Help spread access to acupuncture by learning more about POCA.  Click here to join online.  Or drop by Seminole Heights Community Acupuncture to talk with us more about our favorite co-operative, POCA!
