Up-cycled Acupuncture Tubes: Hanging Mobiles
a fundraiser for POCA Tech

You may have noticed the fancy mobiles hanging from the ceiling in the treatment area at the clinic. These crafty mobiles are designed and created by Mary Margaret Dobson, L.Ac. of Summerville Community Acupuncture in South Carolina. Made from recycled acupuncture guide tubes these nifty designs bring so much to a room… just see what they’ve done for us!
You can purchase your own guide tube mobile next time you’re at the clinic. Each mobile is available for $5 – $10 (sliding scale fees of course!).
Guide tubes are often made of plastic and help the acupuncturist comfortably insert especially thin needles. Once used they become garbage and are just another piece of trash that goes to a landfill. Enter Mary Margaret: she’s designed lovely one of a kind mobiles that not only keep waste from landfills, they raise money for our favorite acupuncture school:POCA Tech!
POCA Tech is a new school dedicated to training community acupuncturists. And POCA Tech needs our help.
We here at SHCA are thrilled to support POCA Tech and are regular sponsors of the school. You can contribute to POCA Tech too.
